Presenting, Sponsoring & Exhibiting

Dynamic Risk will be participating as a Diamond Sponsor at the Saudi Pipeline International Conference and Exhibition (SPICONX), taking place in Dammam, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from October 3rd to 6th.

SPINCONX 2022 is the largest conference and exhibition to be held not only in the Middle East but in the whole Eastern region of the world. The event is solely dedicated to the pipeline business and provides the perfect blend of conference and exhibition for knowledge share and collaboration with key stakeholders across the industry.

Technical Workshop – Complex Crack Management in Critical Pipeline Infrastructure

The management of critical pipeline infrastructure demands a multi-faceted approach which includes but is not limited to the understanding of Integrity Risk, and the ability to detect, size, and classify anomalies. Sizing accuracy can be particularly important as it is used within a subsequent Integrity Services framework and an overarching system to manage vast quantities of static and dynamic data to enable on-demand decision-making. This technical workshop will enable engineers and managers to understand best-in-class systems, technologies, and methodologies in the Management of Complex Crack scenarios in critical pipeline infrastructure. Using globally renowned Subject Matter Experts, attendees will be able to enhance their knowledge through a series of interactive sessions covering the life cycle of asset management specifically related to complex crack threats in cross-country pipelines.
This workshop will be hosted by three of Previan’s Business Units; Dynamic Risk, Eddyfi Technologies, and NDT Global.

Joint Presentation with ATCO Gas Transmission and Dynamic Risk – Considerations & Challenges when Assessing the Conversion of a Pipeline to Hydrogen Service

The desire to move to a more decarbonized fuel supply coupled with reduced public acceptance for new pipeline projects is driving the oil and gas industry to consider the conversion of existing transmission pipelines, both liquid, and natural gas, to gaseous hydrogen service. The introduction of hydrogen into carbon steel pipelines, either as a blend or 100% hydrogen, exacerbates the threat of hydrogen embrittlement with implications for pipeline integrity management. In addition to enhancing the threat of hydrogen embrittlement, other interaction concerns such as corrosion/ cathodic protection, cracking, external loading ROW/HCA impacts, and fatigue threats are impacted as a result of introducing hydrogen.

This presentation will review the relevant industry standards for applicability, and identify complimentary and conflicting guidance while offering a process road map for evaluation of key threats for legacy liquids and natural gas pipeline systems slated for conversion to hydrogen service. Additionally, the presentation will provide a risk assessment roadmap for a structured assessment model that summarizes hazards and risks, identifies potential controls, establishes appropriate leading indicators, and describes the mitigation programs that must be in place to ensure the safe operation of a hydrogen pipeline.
