Banff Pipeline Workshop 2023

Dynamic Risk will be participating in the 2024 PRCI Research Exchange Meeting (REX2024), taking place in San Diego, California from February 27– 28th, 2024.


The Research Exchange Meeting (REX) is scheduled each year to provide a report on important research results in the pipeline industry and provide a forum for an exchange of ideas. This event is the key knowledge transfer window for PRCI and will provide the attendees an opportunity to learn how to move the results into practice.

The theme for 2024 is “Advancing Our Secure Energy Future with Collaboration and Innovation.”

Patrick Vieth – Senior Vice President, Strategy

Patrick has over 30 years of experience solving problems related to materials, corrosion, fitness for service, and reliability with primary focus on the production, transportation and distribution energy pipeline network. He has led and supported numerous notable projects related to incident responses, return to service, and leading industry-wide initiatives requiring complex interdisciplinary solutions involving many stakeholders. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Patrick serves in several industry leadership roles including ASME (Board of Governors), PRC International (Executive Assembly), Qualification Panel for the Pipeline Industry (QPPI), and serving as an Advisor to Young Pipeliners International (YPI) and Young Pipeline Professionals USA (YPP USA).

Pushpendra Tomar – Manager, Risk & Reliability

Pushpendra has over 13 years of experience helping pipeline operators improve and manage their pipeline integrity programs. He has been consistently involved in fitness for service assessments, dent assessment, crack management, fatigue analysis, and reassessment interval determination, ILI and NDE program development and management, developing data management framework, procedures, and technical guidance documents. Pushpendra has led or provided support to a wide array of projects over his career, including ILI performance evaluation, management of ILI and NDE programs for operators, fitness for service assessments, failure investigation, pipe material verification, metallurgical and destructive analysis, reviewing and revising the standard operating procedures of oil and gas pipeline operators, and MAOP verification.
