Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS) are now common practice, driven by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) requirements in the U. S. Since 2022, PHMSA has been inspecting and enforcing components of cybersecurity, mainly control room regulations, integrity management plan requirements and emergency plan regulations. This paper discusses the threats associated with Climate Change, Vandalism, and Cyberattack from the perspective of existing pipeline risk models.
